Your kit
Fills up with the real items as you pick
Quick answer: The Build Your Own Candle Making Kit lets you choose your own candle wax, two fragrance oils and two colours, while the wick, silicone mould, dried flowers and tools come included. It is the easiest way to test a signature scent or colour before buying supplies in bulk. It suits gifting, weddings and festivals, and new candle businesses.
A Build Your Own Candle Making Kit is a customisable candle-making set where you pick the wax, fragrance oil and colour yourself, and the rest of the supplies come fixed in the box. RV Organica's kit pairs your chosen 250 g of candle wax, two 10 ml candle fragrance oils and two 10 ml candle wax colours with 10 g of dried flowers, a 2 metre roll of pre-waxed cotton wick, a silicone candle mould, a spatula, a dropper and a pair of gloves. Every kit is packed at our facility in Nimbri, Panipat, Haryana.
You make three choices and we put the kit together. First choose your wax, then pick your fragrance oils, then select your colours. Everything else, from the wick and mould to the tools and dried flowers, is included as standard so you have a complete set for one batch.
Your wax decides how the candle looks, feels and burns. Soy wax is plant-based, easy to work with and melts at about 49 to 52 °C, which makes it the friendliest choice for beginners. Yellow beeswax gives a natural golden candle with a light honey scent, while white beeswax gives a cleaner base for bright colours. Carnauba and candelilla are hard vegan waxes that work best blended with a softer wax to firm up moulded candles. You can read more about each wax in our candle waxes collection.
Choose scents that suit the mood of the candle: florals and fresh notes for everyday rooms, gourmand and spicy notes for festive and gifting candles. Our candle fragrance oils are made for burning, which matters because skin and soap oils are not designed for open flame. For colour, remember that yellow beeswax, carnauba and candelilla add a warm tint, so pastels show truest in soy or white beeswax. Browse our candle dye range to see the full palette.
Candle makers commonly use fragrance at 6 to 10 percent of the wax weight. For the 250 g of wax in this kit, that is roughly 15 to 25 ml, which matches the two 10 ml bottles included. Denser waxes such as beeswax usually need the lower end of that range. Internationally, candle fragrances are covered by IFRA Category 12 under the International Fragrance Association's standards, so follow the supplier's recommended use level.
Melt the wax over a water bath, stirring with the spatula until fully liquid, then let it cool slightly. Add fragrance and colour with the dropper and stir gently for a couple of minutes. Fix the wick in the centre of the silicone mould, pour steadily, decorate the surface with dried flowers, and leave it to set completely. Trim the wick to about 6 mm before lighting.
A custom kit lets you test exactly the combination you want to sell or gift, instead of working around preset choices. That is useful if you are planning a candle business and want to trial a signature scent, or if you need a particular colour for a wedding, festival or brand theme. Once your recipe works, you can scale up with bulk wax, fragrance and colour, and add new shapes from our candle moulds.
Always melt wax over a water bath, never on a direct flame, and never leave it unattended. Wear the gloves while handling hot wax, keep fragrance oils and colours away from children and pets, and do not apply fragrance oil to skin. Burn finished candles on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts and anything flammable.
Can I choose two different fragrances?
Yes. The kit includes two fragrance oils, so you can pick two different scents and make two variations, or blend them into one custom aroma.
Which wax is best for a first-time candle maker?
Soy wax is the easiest to start with because of its low melting point and forgiving pour range. Beeswax is a good second step once you are comfortable with temperatures.
Can I order more wax after using the kit?
Yes. All the waxes, fragrances and colours in the kit are also sold separately, so you can keep using the mould, wick and tools for future batches.

Four simple steps. Works with any wax, colour or fragrance in the kit.
Melt the wax in a double boiler, stirring with the spatula till it turns fully clear. Never heat it over a direct flame.
Take it off the heat, add one bottle of fragrance and a few drops of colour. Stir slowly for 2 minutes so it mixes evenly.
Fix the wick in the centre of the jar with the wooden holder and pour slowly. Sprinkle dried petals on top while it’s still soft.
Let the jar sit undisturbed for a few hours. Once hard, trim the wick to 5 mm and put the lid on.
