The Story Behind RV Organica: Risha Singh's Journey

Every bottle of essential oil that leaves the RV Organica facility in Panipat carries more than fragrance. It carries a piece of someone's belief that things done honestly still matter. That belief belongs to founder Risha Singh, who built this company on one promise she made to herself long before it had a name: purity should never be negotiable, and quality should never depend on who is watching. RV Organica is the brand customers see on the label, but the company behind it, the one she has poured herself into, is registered as RV International.

Where It Began

Risha Singh did not start out in essential oils, and she did not have the luxury of a mentor in the industry or a family business to fall back on. For years, she did what most people do, she showed up to a regular job, learned quietly, and told herself that someday she would build something of her own. Somewhere in those ordinary working days, she started noticing something that would not leave her alone. India's essential oils and natural ingredients space was full of promise, with more and more people turning toward natural personal care, wellness, and Ayurveda-led living, yet so much of what was actually being sold felt rushed, inconsistent, and undocumented. It bothered her in a way she could not ignore. She kept thinking that if someone cared enough to get the fundamentals right from the very first batch, they could earn a kind of trust that this industry had quietly stopped expecting. That thought sat with her until it became impossible to walk away from. So she did the hard thing. She left the safety of a stable paycheck, and on 13 May 2024, in Panipat, Haryana, she registered RV International, the company that would carry the RV Organica name into the world.

A Partnership Behind the Vision

Risha Singh did not build this alone, and she has never pretended otherwise. Her husband, Vaibhav, is the proprietor of RV International, and their partnership is woven into the company at its foundation, not added on afterward. He, too, walked away from a settled corporate career to build RV Organica alongside her, bringing with him years of experience in exports and digital marketing, along with a deep, hands-on understanding of international marketplaces like Amazon across the US, Canada, Germany, UAE, and beyond. While Risha Singh has been the driving force behind the vision, the product philosophy, and the relentless insistence on quality, Vaibhav has stood beside her as the one holding the business steady, someone she could lean on in the moments when starting a manufacturing company from scratch felt overwhelming. Theirs is a partnership built on the same trust the company was founded on, the quiet, unglamorous kind that shows up in early mornings, difficult decisions, and the shared belief that RV Organica was worth building right, together.

Building From the Ground Up

Nothing about the early days was gentle. The steepest lesson was not sourcing or sales, it was distillation itself, and it humbled her more than once. Most of RV Organica's essential oils are made through steam distillation, plant material loaded into stainless steel vessels, steam pushed through it gently, the vapor carried into a condenser, the oil slowly separating from the water as it cools. It sounds simple until you rush it, and Risha Singh learned that the hard way. One of the earliest lavender batches was pushed through too quickly, and the linalool content came out far below standard, leaving behind an oil so flat and weak it could not be sold. Eucalyptus taught her the opposite lesson just as painfully, push the heat too far and the oil turns harsh and camphorous, unusable for the very purpose it was meant to serve. She remembers those failed batches not as embarrassments but as the moments that shaped everything that came after. Every bit of care the company now takes around temperature and pressure traces back to those early losses, losses she chose to treat as tuition rather than defeat, because giving up was never something she seriously considered.

What RV Organica Stands For

If you ask Risha Singh what she actually believes in, it comes down to something simple and almost stubborn: if a raw material is going into someone else's product, it has to earn that place honestly, every single time. You can see that conviction in everything RV Organica makes. The carrier oils are cold pressed, no heat, no solvents, no shortcuts through refining, which is why the brand's Jamaican black castor oil is dark, thick, and honestly roasted-smelling, standing next to the pale, nearly scentless refined versions sold everywhere else. The fragrance oils are phthalate-free and vegan, and each one is tested against the exact use it is meant for, because a scent that feels beautiful in a candle can fall completely flat in a cold-process soap, and she was never willing to let a customer discover that the hard way. She also insisted on stocking oils that most Indian suppliers do not bother with, blue lotus, nagarmotha, champaca, osmanthus, halmaddi, and oud among them, simply because her B2B clients kept asking, and she could not say no to people who trusted her enough to ask. This July brought something she is quietly proud of, the newest addition to that catalogue: a full attar collection running 13 fragrances across floral, woody, oriental, and fresh profiles, made in the traditional way of distilling botanical material over a sandalwood base, alongside an Inspired Fragrances line of 31 perfume oils, each one built around a scent people already love, made entirely through RV Organica's own formulation rather than copying anyone's trademark, with COA and MSDS documentation behind every single batch. For Risha Singh, stepping into perfumery was never about chasing a trend. It was about carrying the same discipline she had already built into essential oils and carrier oils into a category that badly needed it too.

Milestones and Momentum

RV International now holds seven certifications from Euroglobe Registrars, London, ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management, ISO 22000:2018 for Food Safety Management, FDA compliance, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, and WHO-GMP. Building that certification stack so early in the company's life was not a coincidence, it was Risha Singh insisting on doing things right before doing them fast. Since then, RV Organica has grown from one woman's conviction into a full manufacturer of essential oils, carrier oils, fragrance oils, hydrosols, soap bases, body butters, massage oils, and waxes, trusted by individual customers and by brands that rely on it for private label and OEM production, from formulation and filling all the way to labeling and packaging. That growth mirrors something bigger happening across India, as more people move toward natural, Ayurveda-linked personal care, and Risha Singh built RV Organica to meet that shift with something money cannot shortcut, credibility earned one honest batch at a time.

Looking Ahead

Under Risha Singh's leadership, RV Organica keeps growing, its digital presence expanding, its wholesale and private label partnerships deepening, its facility built around an R&D lab and a full production line that carries raw oil all the way to a sealed, labeled, shipped product. But the certifications and the facility were never really the point. The real story is of a woman who walked away from the safety of a stable job, who learned an unforgiving process the hard way and refused to let it break her, and who chose, again and again, to build slower and more honestly in an industry that had long rewarded shortcuts. That choice is what RV Organica is, at its heart.
