Quick answer: This collection covers two categories: plant-based body butters (shea, mango, kokum, turmeric, lavender) for intensive barrier moisture - no water, apply to damp skin after shower for best absorption - and steam-distilled hydrosols (rose, lavender, coffee, lemongrass, frankincense) for lightweight toning and misting, applied directly without dilution. Seasonal guidance: April-September in India, choose mango or kokum butter over shea (faster absorption in heat); refrigerate opened hydrosols in summer. All products dispatched with COA and MSDS documentation on request.
Skin care in India covers a wide range of needs: daily moisturising in dry winters, lightweight hydration through humid monsoons, post-sun repair in peak summer, and traditional ingredient-based routines year-round. This collection is organised around two practical formats - plant butters that form a protective fat layer over the skin, and hydrosols that hydrate and tone without adding weight or residue. Together they cover most of what a daily face-and-body routine needs, without the complex ingredient lists of mass-market formulations.
The fundamental difference is water content. A lotion is mostly water - it absorbs quickly because the water evaporates on contact with skin, leaving behind a thin conditioning film. Body butter has little to no water content, just concentrated plant fats. That fat layer sits over the skin and physically slows trans-epidermal moisture loss - the passive evaporation of water from the skin's surface. Body butter for dry skin outlasts any water-based moisturiser for exactly this reason: it's not adding moisture, it's keeping what's there.
The trade-off is texture. Butter feels richer, takes slightly longer to absorb, and can feel heavy in hot or humid weather. Lotion absorbs fast and suits daily use in moderate conditions. Both are right - the choice comes down to season and how dry the skin actually is.
Mango Body Butter - Absorbs faster than shea or cocoa and suits daily use through most of India's warmer months. Lightweight for a butter, works on both face and body without the heaviness that heavier options leave in heat.
Kokum Body Butter - Non-comedogenic fatty acid profile makes it one of the few butters suitable for acne-prone skin. Firms quickly on contact, no residue. Usable year-round and the practical choice when richer butters feel too heavy.
Shea Butter - Raw, unrefined shea sold as a single ingredient. Retains more of the natural triterpene alcohols associated with skin softening than refined versions. Best from October through February when skin genuinely needs a heavier application.
Turmeric Body Butter - Turmeric has been part of Indian household skin care for generations. This formulation keeps the active benefits without the yellow staining of raw paste. Suited to uneven skin tone and skin that is both dry and slightly reactive.
Rose Floral Water - Steam-distilled from organic rose petals, not a dilution of rose oil in water. The most recognised hydrosol in Indian skincare, works as a toner, face mist, or water phase in DIY emulsions.
Coffee Hydrosol Natural Toner - Pale amber, distinctly coffee-scented, and consistently one of the most asked-about hydrosols for oily and congested skin. Apply directly as a toner after cleansing; the scent fades within a few minutes.

Apply to skin that is still slightly damp - within two to three minutes of stepping out of the shower. The fat layer locks in moisture already present on the skin surface rather than fighting against dryness from the outside. A small amount goes further than most first-time users expect; start with a portion the size of a large pea for an arm or leg, and adjust from there. For heels and elbows, a slightly thicker application at night, covered with socks or light clothing, works better than repeated daytime applications.
Storage: keep plant butters away from direct sunlight and away from bathroom heat and humidity. A cool, dark shelf or pantry works better than a bathroom cabinet, especially from April through August when Indian temperatures accelerate oxidation in plant fats.
