The Winter Skin Care Gift Set is a buy-together combo of unrefined shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter), refined cocoa body butter (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter) and rose floral water (Rosa Damascena Flower Water), made in India by RV Organica at our facility in Nimbri, Panipat, Haryana. The butters come in 1 kg white jars and the rose water in a 1 L aluminium bottle.

What is inside the Winter Skin Care Gift Set?

Shea butter, 1 kg. Unrefined shea butter, cold pressed or expeller pressed from shea tree nuts. It is an ivory to pale yellow soft solid with a mild, nutty aroma that melts on skin contact. The nutty smell is natural, and a lighter, odourless butter would be a refined one.

Cocoa body butter, 1 kg. Refined cocoa butter, which is a pale yellow to cream hard solid with a light chocolate aroma. It is firmer than shea and melts at about 34 to 38°C, so it softens quickly on warm skin.

Rose floral water, 1 L. A clear, colourless water steam distilled from fresh Rosa damascena petals, with a fresh rose scent. It is a floral water, not a rose essential oil, so it is light and non-greasy.

How do you use the set in a winter skin care routine?

In the morning, spritz or dab rose water on a clean face as a toner. After a bath, massage cocoa butter into slightly damp skin so it can hold the moisture in. At night, rub a little shea butter into heels, hands, elbows and lips, and leave it on. A small amount goes a long way, so warm a pea-sized portion between your palms first.

What can you make with the butters and rose water?

Both butters blend well with sweet almond, jojoba, coconut, vitamin E, argan and rosehip oils, and with lavender, sandalwood, vanilla and rose essential oils. What are the specifications of the Winter Skin Care Gift Set?

All three products are made in India. Shea butter has a specific gravity of 0.910 g/ml, a refractive index of 1.462, moisture of up to 1.0 percent, an acid value of up to 6.0 mg KOH/g and a flash point above 200°C. Cocoa butter has a specific gravity of 0.974 g/ml, a refractive index of 1.456, moisture of up to 0.5 percent, an acid value of up to 1.75 mg KOH/g and a flash point above 250°C. Rose water has a specific gravity of 0.998 g/ml, a refractive index of 1.334 and is more than 99 percent water. Both butters dissolve in hot oils and waxes but not in water, and rose water mixes fully with water. The shelf life is two years for each, or six months after opening for the rose water.

How should you store the Winter Skin Care Gift Set?

Keep the butter jars tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight, and use clean, dry hands or a spoon so water does not get in. If shea turns grainy after warm weather, gently melt and cool it quickly. Store opened rose water in the refrigerator and use it within six months.

Is the Winter Skin Care Gift Set safe to use?

The products are for external use only. Patch test before first use, avoid the eyes, and stop using any of them if irritation appears. Keep all three out of reach of young children. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
