The Yellow Beeswax Candle Making Kit is a complete set for making natural beeswax candles, with 250 g of unbleached yellow beeswax pellets, two candle fragrance oils, two wax colours, dried flowers, wick, a silicone mould and tools. Yellow beeswax keeps its golden colour and soft honey scent and melts at about 62 to 64 °C. It suits makers who want rustic, natural and premium gift candles.
A Yellow Beeswax Candle Making Kit is a ready-to-use set for making natural beeswax candles at home, built around unbleached yellow beeswax pellets. RV Organica's kit includes 250 g of yellow beeswax pellets, two 10 ml candle fragrance oils, two 10 ml candle wax colours, 10 g of dried flowers, a 2 metre roll of pre-waxed cotton wick, a silicone candle mould, a spatula, a dropper and a pair of gloves, packed at our facility in Nimbri, Panipat, Haryana.
Yellow beeswax is the natural, unbleached form of the wax honeybees use to build their comb. It keeps its golden colour and a soft honey aroma, which many people enjoy on its own. It is harder and denser than soy wax, so it holds the shape of a moulded candle well and tends to burn slowly. Because of that natural colour and scent, it is the go-to wax for rustic, handmade and gift candles.
The kit has the full set of supplies for one batch. The beeswax pellets melt evenly because of their small size, the two fragrance oils and two colours give you options for your design, and the dried flowers add a decorative finish. You also get pre-waxed cotton wick to cut to length, a silicone mould that releases cleanly, and the spatula, dropper and gloves for handling. Browse our candle waxes collection if you want to compare beeswax with soy or plant waxes.
Melt the pellets in a double boiler or a heat-safe jug standing in a pan of hot water, stirring with the spatula until no solid pieces remain. Let the wax cool slightly, add fragrance and colour with the dropper, and stir slowly so they mix evenly. Hold a length of wick upright in the centre of the mould, pour steadily, and press dried flowers onto the surface while it is still soft. Leave it to set fully, unmould it, and trim the wick to about 6 mm before lighting.
Beeswax melts at roughly 62 to 64 °C, which is noticeably higher than soy. Published candle temperature guides suggest pouring beeswax at about 68 to 74 °C and adding fragrance around 71 to 74 °C. Pouring too hot can cause cracking as the candle cools, so keeping close to this window gives a smoother finish. A kitchen thermometer makes a real difference here.
Beeswax has its own scent and a dense structure, so it usually carries added fragrance at the lower end of the usual range. Candle fragrance loads are commonly quoted at 6 to 10 percent of wax weight, and with beeswax most makers stay near the lower figure so the honey note still comes through. Pick oils from our candle fragrance oils, which are made for burning. Internationally, candle fragrances fall under IFRA Category 12, set by the International Fragrance Association, so always follow the supplier's recommended usage level.
Yes, but the natural yellow tone will mix with any colour you add. Warm shades like orange, red and brown work beautifully, while blues and purples may turn greenish or muddy. If you want true pastel or bright colours, white beeswax is the better base. More shades are available in our candle dye range.
Beeswax candles sell well as premium and gift items, and a kit is a low-risk way to test the market. Make a few candles, try different scents and colours, and see what your customers respond to before buying wax in bulk. When you are ready to grow, add more shapes from our candle moulds and order wax and fragrance in larger packs.
Always melt beeswax over a water bath, never over a direct flame, and never leave it unattended. Wear gloves while handling hot wax, keep fragrance oils and colours away from children and pets, and do not apply fragrance oil directly to skin. Burn finished candles on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts and anything flammable.
Why is my beeswax candle cracking?
Cracks usually come from pouring too hot or cooling too fast. Pour within the recommended range and let the candle cool slowly at room temperature, away from fans or windows.
Do I need to add fragrance to beeswax?
No. Yellow beeswax has a gentle natural honey scent, and many people burn it unscented. The fragrance oils are there if you want a stronger or different aroma.
Is the white coating on my beeswax candle a problem?
A white film called bloom can appear on beeswax over time. It is natural, harmless, and can be wiped off with a soft cloth or a little warmth from a hair dryer.
