It dissolves in alcohol and fixed (carrier) oils and does not dissolve in water, and it keeps for 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored sealed in a cool, dark place. Its main constituents typically include Limonene (50 to 70%), alpha-Phellandrene (8 to 18%), alpha-Pinene (3 to 10%), Elemol (2 to 8%), Elemicin (1 to 5%), beta-Phellandrene (1 to 5%), Terpinolene (1 to 4%).
