Citronella Essential Oil
Citronella Essential Oil is derived out of citronella grass and possesses a sharp, citrusy smell between lemon and freshly cut grass. It is one of the oils that pull weight through a variety of applications and that is why it can be found in bug sprays as well as bath products.
Insect Repellent
This is what the majority of the people associate citronella with and it meets expectations. It is a natural component of natural bug sprays, outdoor candles and repellent blends, and works well without that chemical smell that synthetic repellents usually have.
Wound Care and Pain Relief.
When used topically with a carrier oil, citronella is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and is used in minor wounds, skin irritation, and local pain. It enhances blood flow to the site of injury and accelerates recovery and decreases inflammation. You will find it in balm and ointments, precisely on this account.
Skin Care
It constricts the pores, combats bacteria and fungus, keeping the outbreaks under control. With frequent use, skin appears cleaner and even. It is mild enough to not irritate most skin types to go into lotions, creams, soaps, and even deodorants.
Hair Care
Citronella creates a light protective shield upon the hair and head, which prevents daily harm by pollution, sun, smoke and dirt. Hair becomes shiny and healthier in general, with regular use.
Aromatherapy
The citrus fragrance is not harsh but cheerful. When used in a diffuser or in a bath, it eases mental exhaustion and makes you unwind after a hard day, not as heavy as some floral or resinous oils.
How to Use
Always dilute prior to applying to skin - it is concentrated. An oil such as coconut or jojoba is effective. Most skin types are okay, but a patch test on your inner elbow is advisable before using it, in case your skin is sensitive or prone to allergies.
What's Inside
No artificial perfumes, no chemicals, no additives. Just citronella oil.
