RV Organica Turmeric Essential Oil
Essential oil of turmeric is derived from the root of a turmeric plant - the same plant that is ground to make the spice we use in our curry. The oil is stronger, and smells more earthy and calming than the powder you have in the kitchen cupboard.
What is it good for?
Wound Care It's actually an antibacterial. You can dilute it and put it on a small cut or abrasion to clean and heal. So it's used in natural wound care and healing.
Skin Care But it's most often used in skin care. It's brightening, it's lightening blemishes and dark spots, and (mostly because of its antioxidant properties) it makes skin slightly more resilient against the ravages of life. It's easily incorporated into face masks, serums and creams.
Aromatherapy It's used as an aromatherapy oil and diffused for its herbal fragrance. It's used to relax or when stressed.
Important — Dilution Turmeric oil can be irritating to the skin. A few drops are usually mixed with a carrier oil (such as coconut, jojoba or almond oil) before use.
